Mantel of Maelstrom: Part 2

The Most Worshipful Master glides across the checker board floor, gently places a 'top hat' on his head and ascends to his "divine" throne; now he is ready for the masonic lodge meeting. A Voodoo priest, lights the candles, dusts off his skulls and carefully places miniature 'top hats' atop each cranium on the alter; now he is ready for the sacrificial ceremony. In like manner, a gothic guitar player, ties up his military boots, slips on his trench coat and slams on his 'top hat'; ready for a night of bliss. An undertaker pulls on his white gloves, grips his cane and tips his top hat; now he is ready for the funeral procession. In the middle of his show a magician flips off his 'top hat', turns it upside down and yanks out a fluffy white bunny. All of these real life occult ritualistic examples include the magickal 'top hat'.

In the movie 'The Matrix', Neo is told by Trinity to "follow the white rabbit", this allusion to "following the white rabbit" obviously reminds us of Lewis's White Rabbit of wonderland who goes down a whole or vortex. But the white rabbit theme can be traced back to ancient times. The astrological constellation Lepus, which is a rabbit, has been associated with the moon or the "lesser light". The use of the moon as the main guide for occult activities has been practiced since the beginning of time, and still is today. The white rabbit, then becomes synonymous with the full moon or the completion of the lunar cycle (time does not permit me to fully unfold the 'moon' issue, but the moon controls the ebbs and tides & it has also been scientifically proven to change human behavior at certain times). But the power of the lunar cycles can only be harvested when occult followers practice rituals at night time. The 'top hat' , when used by the occult realm becomes a powerful symbol used to invoke a semblance of dark transformation.

In the night and in the darkness, we let go of our inhibitions & morality to run after every desire that arises in our hearts. Just like the White Rabbit from wonderland, who frantically runs around saying: "I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!" At night time many of us are running to and fro, being watchful of the time, making sure that we are not too late. What is the rabbit late for and why is it so important? First of all, he cannot get to his "date" until he goes down the dark whole (i.e. vortex). The other side of which, leads him to a magical & strange land (the other side of the vortex being the magicians 'top hat'). In John 3:19 The Lord Jesus Christ stated "Now this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness rather than the light. Why? Because their actions were wicked." Many of us think that we have control when we perform these late night 'top hat' rituals. But just as Alice has no control over her size, environment or her future once she falls down the vortex; we have no control when we allow ourselves to be sucked into this storm of darkness. And just like the white rabbit who epitomizes the specious duality of darkness by trying to appear pure & vulgar or evil & faithful at the same time; our lives will become unsustainable if we continue to allow petty, pointless, profitless, abortive, senseless, trivial, futile, useless, barren, delusive, delusory, empty, frivolous, unproductive, unprofitable, valueless, void, and worthless rituals to fuel our lives. In Luke 11:33-36, The Lord Jesus Christ... "No one who has kindled a lamp hides it or places it under a bowl; rather, he puts it on a stand, so that those coming in may see its light. The lamp of your body is the eye. When you have a `good eye, your whole body is full of light; but when you have an `evil eye, your body is full of darkness. So take care that the light in you is not darkness! If, then, your whole body is filled with light, with no part dark, it will be wholly lighted, as when a brightly lit lamp shines on you."

So the 'top hat' also indicates a "life" that has been transformed by darkness through a certain ritual and now carries out the will of death/darkness.The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness will never suppress it. Yahshua spoke to them again: "I am the light of the world; whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light which gives life." Following your own lusts and desires will only lead you deeper into the vortex. Once you have placed the top hat on your head and you have finished spiraling out of control, your master will await you.
